Computer Vision Syndrom
What is computer vision syndrome?

Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS), also known as digital eye strain, refers to a group of eye and vision problems that result from prolonged use of digital devices such as computers, smartphones, and tablets.

Extended screen use can reduce blinking and increase visual demand, leading to dryness and strain. Factors such as poor lighting, glare, improper screen distance, and incorrect posture can further contribute to eye discomfort.

Common symptoms include:

  • Eye strain or fatigue
  • Dryness or irritation
  • Blurred or fluctuating vision
  • Headache
  • Neck and shoulder pain
Do’s:b

  • Blink frequently to keep eyes moist
  • Maintain proper screen distance and positioning
  • Use adequate lighting and reduce glare
  • Take regular breaks
Don’ts:
  • Avoid prolonged, uninterrupted screen use
  • Avoid using screens in poor lighting
